I'm still surprised by how much I liked this book. I got to it not knowing what to expect but intrigued by the description of the story. It seemed interesting enough to get me a few hours of good reading, so I went for it. At the end of the story, I was totally blown away by the plot and characters, and the ending was so beautiful. The story reminds us of one of those epic sagas of classic Greek tragedy with a strong feeling of the era the story is set. I really loved this book. It has some graphic description of violence and gore here and there, which was a little more than I expected but definitely not outrageous and befitting the theme and story. After all, it is a story about a queen who feeds on human blood, but deep in its core, it's a beautiful love story as the author says. Congrats!Product details

This should be a Hollywood movie!!!!
This is a refreshing take on a story as old as humanity itself. Sacrifice for love under the most dire of circumstances. I really enjoyed the historical tie ins and the unashamed adult aspects of the story. I actually think it could be turned in to a very successful HBO or Starz series. Definitely a cool story.
It's like a twist of Beauty and the Beast.
